The RNVG (Ruggedized Night Vision Goggle) is engineered for operators who demand reliability in the harshest environments. Its design emphasizes strength, simplicity, and performance. Constructed from solid billet 7075 aluminum, both the optical pods and bridge are CNC machined to eliminate weak points common in other binocular housings. This makes the RNVG one of the most durable night vision systems ever produced—stronger than steel in critical areas while maintaining a competitive weight of just 555 grams without battery.
Its familiar control layout mirrors that of the PVS-14, offering intuitive operation with three switch positions: Off, On, and On with IR illuminator. The IR illuminator is safety-gated, requiring the user to pull the knob to engage, and supports spot/flood adapters for extended range. Power is provided by a single CR123 battery for over 16 hours of continuous use, with in-view low-battery indication.
The RNVG’s mil-spec optics provide full adjustability, with objective focus from 9.8 inches to infinity and diopter adjustment from -6 to +2. Interpupillary distance is adjustable between 51mm and 73mm, held in place with a ball-detent system to resist vibration and maintain user settings. The goggles are submersible to 66 feet, built to military environmental standards, and available in Flat Black, Coyote Tan, or Flat Dark Earth. Each unit is finished with a matte, non-reflective surface — anodized for protection and Cerakoted for a rugged, attractive exterior.
