ITAR Info & Overview
ITAR Overview
The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are U.S. government regulations that control the export, re-export, and transfer of certain defense-related articles, services, and technical data. These regulations are administered by the U.S. Department of State and are intended to protect national security and foreign policy interests.
Some products offered by Procyon Industries fall under ITAR control. This means that their sale, transfer, or export may be restricted based on factors such as end user, end use, and destination. ITAR regulations apply not only to international exports, but also to certain transfers within the United States involving non-U.S. persons.
What This Means for Customers
ITAR does not automatically prohibit the purchase or use of controlled equipment. Instead, it establishes a framework to ensure that sensitive items are transferred responsibly and in compliance with U.S. law.
Depending on the product and customer, ITAR-controlled items may require additional review, documentation, or government authorization prior to delivery. Procyon Industries evaluates each transaction individually to determine applicable requirements and eligibility.
Not all products are ITAR-controlled, and not all customers or destinations are subject to the same restrictions.
Our Approach
Procyon Industries takes export compliance seriously and works to ensure that all ITAR-controlled transactions are handled properly and transparently. Where applicable, we assist customers in navigating the compliance process and setting clear expectations regarding eligibility, timelines, and requirements.
For customers seeking international delivery or clarification on export-controlled items, additional details are available on our Export Compliance & International Support page.
