AB Night Vision MGA

The AB Night Vision MGA (Manual Gain Articulating) Binocular Night Vision Device is a full-featured articulating binocular platform built for users who demand durability, precision control, and long-term reliability. Machined from solid 7075 aluminum alloy, the MGA housing is engineered to withstand extreme real-world conditions and has exceeded MIL-STD-810H drop testing standards. Its proven design builds on the RNVG-A platform while adding manual gain capability through an integrated rotary control interface.

The MGA features a rotary power switch that also functions as the manual gain control, allowing users to fine-tune image brightness in varying light conditions. A dedicated push-button activates the built-in IR illuminator, while in-view indicators provide clear alerts for IR activation and low battery status. Power is supplied by a single onboard CR123 battery or through an external battery pack using a 4-pin LEMO-style connector, offering flexible power management in the field.

Its articulating optical pods allow rapid adjustment for interpupillary distances from 47mm to over 80mm and can be rotated independently for single-eye operation or compact stowage. When stowed, the pods automatically shut off to prevent unwanted illumination and tube wear. Assembly does not require removal or twisting of flex cables, preserving tube warranties and reducing the risk of damage. Finished in Flat Black or Flat Dark Earth with anodizing and Cerakote coatings, the MGA delivers long-term corrosion resistance and a non-reflective matte finish.
