This is the PVS-14 close-focus stop (also called a close-focus retaining ring). It installs from inside the monocular housing onto the output side of the objective lens assembly.
PVS-14 focus is shallow: unscrewing the objective brings near objects into focus, and without this stop the cell can leave the housing. The ring is the travel limit for close focus. Complete disassembly is required meaning it is not an operator-level accessory without proper tools/ equipment.
