Eyepiece Lock Ring

This is the exterior eyepiece lock ring for an AN/PVS-14 (and other housings that use the same ocular thread). It screws onto the external threads on the eyepiece end of the monocular body and clamps the eyepiece assembly after diopter adjustment or collimation.

Without it, the ocular can rotate under handling and lose diopter. It is a mechanical lock only; it is not an eyepiece, eyecup, or diopter ring.
