The KAUFFMANN-BREMIN DT-2 builds on the legacy of the widely respected ACT DTNVG, carrying forward its proven design under the direction of the original engineer within a new company. While the DT-2 maintains a familiar silhouette, it introduces a series of modern enhancements that elevate both durability and user functionality.
Engineered as a robust dual-tube binocular system, the DT-2 features an oversized, positive on/off switch for intuitive operation, a tethered battery cap to prevent loss in the field, and a durable aluminum dovetail interface for secure mounting. The housing is constructed from a proprietary polymer designed to protect internal electronics from impact, environmental stress, and exposure to harsh chemical agents.
Operational improvements include adjustable interpupillary distance (IPD) stops to accommodate a wider range of users, including those requiring very narrow settings. The articulating pods feature automatic shutoff when rotated up or to the side, preserving battery life, while an integrated low-battery indicator provides real-time status during use.
Built to meet and exceed MIL-STD-810G requirements and NATO 1.5-meter drop standards, the DT-2 delivers a refined balance of ruggedness, reliability, and next-generation performance.
