AB Night Vision RNVG

The RNVG (Ruggedized Night Vision Goggle) is engineered for operators who require maximum reliability and structural strength in harsh operational conditions. Designed with durability as the primary objective, both the optical pods and bridge are CNC machined from solid billet 7075 aluminum, eliminating common failure points found in many articulated or modular binocular housings. This construction results in a housing that is exceptionally rigid and impact-resistant while maintaining a competitive weight of just 555 grams without battery.

Control layout and operation are intentionally familiar to users experienced with the PVS-14 platform. The rotary switch offers three positions—Off, On, and On with IR illuminator—allowing for intuitive use without interrupting tube power when activating IR. The integrated IR illuminator features a safety-gated design requiring the switch to be pulled outward before engagement and supports optional spot or flood adapters for extended illumination range. An in-view low-battery indicator provides clear feedback when the CR123 battery requires replacement, with over 16 hours of continuous runtime from a single cell.

Optically, the RNVG utilizes mil-spec objectives and eyepieces, offering precise adjustment and user comfort. Objective focus ranges from 9.8 inches to infinity, while the eyepieces provide a diopter adjustment range of -6 to +2. Interpupillary distance is adjustable from 51mm to 73mm and retained via a ball-detent system designed to resist vibration and maintain settings during movement. The housing is submersible to 66 feet and finished with a non-reflective matte surface through anodizing and Cerakote, ensuring durability and reduced visual signature. Available in Flat Black, Coyote Tan, or Flat Dark Earth, the RNVG stands as one of the most rugged fixed-bridge night vision binoculars in production.
